NEWS: Elanor Moss shares debut single ‘Soundings’

The York songwriter Elanor Moss has today released her debut single ‘Soundings’. The song is taken from her upcoming EP, Citrus.

Speaking about the new single, Elanor Moss says “Soundings is essentially about relying on substance abuse to drown out depression and trauma, how easy it is to slip into that. Contrary to the dark narrative, I wanted there to be a catharsis and playfulness to the melodies and delivery, and a melodrama too.

Played out over a gentle acoustic arrangement, ‘Soundings’ provides the listener with perspective, insight, and caution. And with ‘Soundings’ Elanor Moss creates a perfect dichotomy as she conveys this stark warning in a voice that evokes a fresh and warm intimacy.

‘Soundings’ is released ahead of Elanor Moss’s extensive forthcoming tour of the UK and Ireland supporting her fellow York songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich.
