NEWS: Kae Tempest shares single from upcoming album

Writer and spoken word performer, Kae Tempest, is due to release their new album – The Line Is A Curve on 8th April 2022 via Fiction Records.  This is the fourth album from the Lewisham-based artist and has been produced by long-term collaborator Dan Carey.  Kae has also revealed a new synth-infused, single titled ‘More Pressure’ which features Kevin Abstract of the American hip-hop group BROCKHAMPTON.

Speaking about the album, Tempest says:

“The Line Is A Curve is about letting go. Of shame, anxiety, isolation and falling instead into surrender. Embracing the cyclical nature of time, growth, love. This letting go can hopefully be felt across the record. In the musicality, the instrumentation, the lyricism, the delivery, the cover art. In the way, it ends where it begins and begins where it ends.”

2022 is shaping up to be a busy year for Kae, as they will also head out on a UK and Ireland tour this spring in support of the new album.  The official tour announcement will be on Friday 14th January.

You can pre-order The Line is a Curve on Kae Tempest’s official website.
