Marvin’s Revenge are an alternative rock band originally from Wirksworth Derbyshire – now based in Nottingham. They are: Luke Eaton (bass/vocals), Job Gregory (drums), Ollie Sammels-Moore (Guitar). We get to know them better.

Can you tell us a little about the formation of Marvin’s Revenge? How did you all meet and decide to create music together?
“We met at the dawn of time, on the first day god created Marvin’s Revenge.” – Luke

Why the name “Marvin’s Revenge”? Is there a story behind it?
“God” – Luke
“We are named after Luke’s little brothers pet ant.” – Job

Who are your biggest musical influences?
“Neil Diamond.” – Luke

Is there a specific message or emotion you aim to convey through your music? What do you want listeners to feel when they hear a Marvin’s Revenge track?
We want people to start jumping erratically on the spot in public.

Do you have a favorite venue you’ve played at so far? Any memorable moments from the road you’d like to share?
The Chameleon in Nottingham which closed down for the same reasons as so many other venues, that one really hurt. – Job

What’s do you consider the biggest challenge for you as an emerging indie band in today’s music industry?
“Making any money, but we’ve given up trying to do that now.” – Luke

What inspires you outside of music? Are there any books, films, or artists that influence you?
“Lord of the Rings.” – Luke, Ollie and Job

If you could collaborate with any artist or band, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
“Neil Diamond.” – Luke .
