Green Man Rising is a project from the festival’s charitable arm, The Green Man Trust. Green Man Rising is all about emerging talent and remains completely unsponsored and free.
For this year’s Green Man Rising Competition – God Is In The TV is proud to be on the preliminary judging panel – a record breaking number of acts applied and 25 of the best new talent around made it to the longlist: A Lesser Version, bathing suits, Big Long Sun, Delivery Service, Enabling Behaviour, Ewe & Friends, Flytrap, Formal Sppeedwear, IRKED, KickBoy, lots of hands, Low Harness, Maximilian, Melanie Baker, My Mercury, Nell King, Ninush, Potato, Sarah Meth, Shaking Hand, Shale, Swamp, Tenderness, Urvashi, and wing!

And put the 20th of May in your diary for the live Green Man Rising final will be held that night at Cardiff’s iconic Clwb Ifor Bach, where the five finalists will play to bag the opening slot on the Mountain Stage, record a live session, and showcase their music to top music industry pros.
The remaining finalists will perform across the Green Man Festival weekend 2025 on the Rising stage alongside filming a live Green Man Session.
