NEWS: Threshold festival announces more names for its sixth annual outing

Location: Liverpool
Dates: 1st – 3rd April 2016

With less than six weeks to go before Threshold Festival takes over Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, organisers have revealed 24 more acts playing the sixth annual festival of grassroots music and arts. Over the past few years Threshold has developed a reputation as a playground for the alternative, experimental and fresh, showcasing the best of the region’s creative industries.

The latest crop of musical talent includes Merseyside’s finest pop art terrorists Kids on Bridges, local post-rock wonderers Kusanagi and riot grrrl art rock revivalists Pink Kink. Highlighting staggering diversity of the current Liverpudlian music scene acts playing Threshold 2016 embrace everything from reggae to soul, from punk to experimental sound projects of lesser travelled sonic zones. And we’ll be pleased to see some familiar faces like the lycra-clad electro prog noise trio Barberos, whose performance at last year’s Liverpool Sound City was one of our big highlights of the entire weekend. The most excellent Lying Bastards, whose members seem to have appeared in most of the local bands, are also part of the deal.

Stay tuned for more Threshold announcements, including information about visual arts, performance and film components of the 2016 festival.

Advance Tickets are now SOLD OUT but you can pick up weekend passes for £20 (just £10 for students) via Skiddle.
