Lucky Number have announce that they have signed Brooklyn based band, Friends. Imbibed with the naked party-starting enthusiasm of E.S.G and the Tom Tom Club, Friends perform a self-described concoction of ‘weird pop’ and ‘tropicool’, African inspired rhythms splashed with a tropical dash.Friends debut release, Friend Crush, was recently released on limited edition 7” vinyl and instantly sold out on pre-orders alone. Boomkat said: ‘This is the kind of debut single most pop-eyed acts would kill their mates for, with reverbed snare and ESG-esque bassline iced with synth and that super cool vocal!’ Watch the new video below.
The band recently completed a US tour with label mate Darwin Deez and are planning a series of UK dates later in the year.
