Split Festival has revealed the remaining acts to complete its main stage line up! Quirky Eel Pie pop group Mystery Jets, Leeds rock-trio Dinosaur Pile-Up, The King Blues and The Rifles will be joining the festival.

Local acts Beth Jean Houghton, Little Comets and many more will also be joining the likes of Frankie & the Heartstrings and The Drums in Sunderland this September. The complete main stage line-up can be found below. Now in its third year, the North East’s coolest festival has already created a great buzz by bringing The Charlatans and Ganglians to Sunderland. The festival’s eclectic line-up was fused together by The Futureheads’ guitarist Ross Millard, who has this to say: “We’re delighted to be able to reveal the rest of the Split Festival line up, for the main stage. Mystery Jets, The Rifles and The King Blues bring huge amounts of energy, power and fun to the main tent, with Dinosaur Pile Up’s riffs and tautness matching the weirdness and eclecticism of Ganglians, Dutch Uncles and Hyde & Beast.“Little Comets and Beth Jeans Houghton are two more of the North East’s brightest lights and their recent successes warrant them both such significant slots on the line-up. Appearances from Vinyl Jacket, BEAK, Grandfather Birds and Shields also prove that new music in the North-East is healthier than ever.” Mystery Jets’ Blaine Harrison explains that Split Festival goers should be in for a treat: ” Split is our last festival of the summer and probably our last English show before we return with album four next year so we’re going to make sure it’s a good one! ” With the main stage now complete, the line-up looks like this, with the newly added acts in bold: Saturday 17th September The DrumsMystery JetsThe RiflesLittle CometsDutch UnclesBeth Jeans HoughtonB>E>A>KSpectorVinyl JacketThe GeneralsSheildsWe Beat the SystemGrandfather BirdsJames and the Wolf Sunday 18th September The CharlatansFrankie and The HeartstringsThe King BluesDinosaur Pile-UpGangliansHyde and BeastLeatherfaceThe Dauntless EliteTomahawks For TargetsRetrieverLoud Mouth For more information, backstage gossip and up-to-the-minute exclusive announcements log on to www.splitfestival.com.
