Label Love raise funds with two shows in London

Drop Flyer

Label Love a collective of artists, labels and good doing types who have banded together to raise funds for indie labels affected by the PIAS distribution fire earlier this year, have revealed two fundraising shows in London. The first is Label Love at the legendary Brixton Windmill tomorrow. The second is Label Love’s Lazy Sunday at The Drop in Stoke Newington. So get along and show your support if you are in the area! Full details below!

The Windmill in Brixton has long been one of THE spiritual homes of independent music in the capital so we are very proud to be staging a Label Love benefit event there.
We have a fantastic line up of live music for you:
October Sky – Canadian Alt Rockers who are kindly taking a detour from their UK tour to come and play for us. They are currently generating tons of buzz for their big, anthemic sound and are being championed by Emma Scott (Ex Kerrang/award winner “Rawk” kerrang for best Promoter) and getting airtime on NME Radio.

Ziegler Co. – Ziegler Co. peddle what could be defined as vaudeville indie, drawing from musical elements from all eras and fusing them together into a raggle taggle mix that works. The approach things with a similar experimentation as The Coral but are most definitely a band and a sound in their own right.

yoB – Idiosyncratic, observational singer / songwriter / street poet from Hackney making an art form from the exquisitely mundane; little vignettes of everyday life, set to rumbuctious, folk-tinged melodies.

Mark Robinson from Talk Show Hosts –
Mark is the head honcho from the band Talk Show Hosts. Sadly, we left it too late for them to get the whole band to come & play but Mark has kindly volunteered to come and play a special, exclusive solo acoustic set for us.

The music between the bands will be provided by the Echoes And Dust DJs.
