Manchester based trio Monster Island have uploaded two new tracks, Pilot Whales and Secret Shopper, from their forthcoming album Cathedral Steps (released on November 21st).
Their previous 2009 LP The Anchor received a [Rating: 5] review from this very site, and their more recent The Green Room EP was a tantlising stopover on the way to this new record. The signature Monster Island sound is all present and correct, a barrage of arch, witty and bitterly delivered lyrics over alternatingly ramshackle and angular riffs.
