SCI-FI VIDEO: Applescal – El Diablo

eldiablo

Young Dutch producer Applescal releases his new EP ‘El Diablo’ shortly.  The EP has managed over 5000 listens via Soundcloud alone, in just under one week, securing support from Pichfork, XLR8R, Snipe Magazine, DJ Magazine and many others on its release along the way.

Watch the brilliant retro inspired new video for the lead track ‘El Diablo’  depicting sci-fi ray guns and supernatural invasions below.

It has been an impressive three years for Applescal. After winning the biggest dance award in Holland, he got himself a record deal with cologne’s Traum label, released 2 albums, made a couple of remixes (including, among others, Max Cooper, Extrawelt and Nick Warren) and played all over Europe. Now it is no secret that Pascal has a close affinity with RTFKT but that does not make the collective less proud to have our first RTFKT release created by this long-haired youngster. And what a release it is! Featuring tracks like El Diablo, Mr Cold and the so far unheard ‘No Offence’, this EP strays from the sounds most are used to hearing from him, clearly but confidently steering himself into a new and exciting direction. I hope you enjoy this one as much as we do! And best of all: it’s free!

RTFKT have created a place where one can express their personal tastes, having cultivated a creative online environment for like-minded. The collective consists of a group young enthusiasts, collaborating in a non-commercial way.

RTFKT supports the gifted talent in the current electronic music scene by releasing their works or by giving them the opportunity to express themselves via a mutecast .

For those interested in remixing the tracks, RTKFT have included download links to individual track stems, together with artwork spec, so help yourselves. http://www.rtfkt.net/rtfkt-01-applescal-el-diablo-ep-2/
