Dropkick Murphys announce new single and UK tour

Dropkick Murphys

Dropkick Murphys have announced Bouncing Souls, PLUS SPECIAL GUEST as support for their UK shows and to celebrate their tour they are releasing “Going Out In  Style” as a single on February 6th.

Dropkick Murphys released their seventh full-length studio album, Going Out In Style earlier in 2011 on their own Born & Bred Records, through Cooking Vinyl.
Now there is to be a CD deluxe version of their album ‘Going Out In Style Live At Fenway’, released on March 12th following its digital release on Dec 4th.

The live songs were recorded on September 8th and 9th, when the band played two sold out shows at Boston’s Fenway Park. “Going Out In Style–Live at Fenway Edition” captures the energy of the band playing on the hallowed ground of Fenway Park, to their home-town fans. It’s now available for everyone to enjoy.

‘Going Out In Style’ was produced by Ted Hutt and features the group’s signature blend of punk rock energy, folk soul, Irish spirit and American rock ‘n roll on tracks like “Memorial Day”  “Going Out In Style,” “The Hardest Mile,” “Cruel,” “Climbing A Chair To Bed,” and a rousing rendition of “Peg O’ My Heart” with guest vocals by Bruce Springsteen.
Dropkick Murphys are not your typical punk band, they’re Boston’s biggest rock band, a band that plays Irish music with punk roots. A band with enormous families and armies of friends. DKM’s music is so erce and furious, their stage presence so explosive, and their commitment to their fans so ironclad, one can’t help but be moved.

Now in their 15th year with a Scorsese soundtrack hit, a US top 20 album, a lifetime membership to every Boston sports team and a sound owing as much to Springsteen and The Pogues as to the Clash, DM have come a long way from the days of Boston’s Rathskeller.

Dropkick Murphys–Al Barr (lead vocals), Tim Brennan (guitars, accordion, whistle, vocals), Ken Casey (lead vocals, bass guitar), Jeff DaRosa (banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, harmonica, vocals), Matt Kelly (drums, vocals), James Lynch (guitar, vocals), and Scruffy Wallace (bagpipes)- come to the UK and Ireland  in February
