Track Of The Day #833: Avec Sans – Heartbreak Hi

Now that the sunnier, warmer weather is teasing us, surely this requires a track that compliments?  Today it comes in the form of GIITTV favourites Avec Sans and their recent single ‘Heartbreak Hi’.  The track promises sunshine and a mooch along the beach with a little dose of reality from the off – “If I could forget you I’d try/If I could replace you I’d try”  – reminiscent of those romances, and those fleeting holiday romances, that still linger in the shadows from time to time.

The quite frankly brilliant London-based duo – comprising of Alice Fox and Jack St. James – offer up this perfect slice of electro-pop with its breezy and impossibly sweet vocals, and hazy, sun-drenched synth-led melodies.  Pretend it’s summer already, grab an ice cream on your lunch break and allow yourself a moment of indulgence.

Avec Sans are set to release their debut album in June.  To preorder, see HERE
