NEWS: Green Man Festival announces first three 2017 headliners

Green Man‘s 15th birthday celebrations have started with a big announcement of its first three headline acts and 2017 UK festival exclusives. Double Mercury winner PJ Harvey is returning to Wales after a 10-year absence and Baltimore’s finest Future Islands are heading to the Black Mountains for the first time. Another slice of Americana comes with a country twang, delivered by the legendary Ryan Adams.

Other names confirmed for this year’s birthday bash are GIITTV’s favourites psychedelic pop subversives Grumbling Fur, bittersweet Americana indie folk debutant Julia Jacklin and Moshi Moshi’s new favourite girl band Girl Ray. As befitting a great festival, there are quite a few returning artists,including Richard Dawson, Jessica Pratt and Field Music.
