Today, we are premiering the new single from Mesadorm, ‘Yours And Not Yours’ which is taken from their forthcoming album Heterogaster, released May 11th 2018. Juxtaposing delicate piano-led grandeur and singer Blythe Pepino’s swooping emotive vocals with abrasive electronic music, the five-minute opus ‘Yours and Not Yours’ is both a brittle self-examination and a powerful show of defiance. In its final minute it journies into the static of technological nightmares amidst a pulsing cacophony of beats and synth stabs.
Mesadorm was formed in 2015 by five friends from Bristol. Each member is an artist in their own right and has played with artists like Goldfrapp, Paloma Faith, Rae Morris, MIKA, The Magnetic North, High Contrast, The Unthanks and Frank Turner. Blythe Pepino (singer/songwriter – Mesadorm) recently parted ways with the band Vaults after a three-year stint signed to Virgin Records. Although the project ended amicably she struggled to feel at home in the realm of popular music and never lost her passion for the strange and left-field.
Mesadorm’s next gig is on the 20th April at Tooting Tram and Social at John Kennedy’s club night.
