With many people struggling with their emotional and mental health right now, and being affected by the seemingly growing number of violent and horrific incidents around the world, Beth Macari is on a mission to get people to see, feel and enjoy the positive things about themselves and in their lives via her latest single ‘I Am’, the video for which GIITV are proud to premiere.
As one of a growing number of artists who champions empowerment, self-love and accepting who you are, all of which are key aspects of and within Beth’s new track, and at a time and in a society that very much struggles with all three, Beth has also decided to donate 100% of the sales of “I Am” to local mental health charity “If U Care Share”, which works to prevent suicide and support those bereaved by it.
Asked about the idea behind and concept of the video, Beth says: “This video is definitely my favourite so far. I loved creating a 60’s inspired look, taking inspiration from my favourite artists; Diana Ross being one. I feel like the video really captured the honesty and emotion of the song, the lyrics are possibly my most personal ones to date, talking about my body and experiences of trolling etc, but overcoming it and finding a way to accept and love who I am.”
‘I Am’ is Beth’s third single release this year and she’s so far earned herself coverage and praise from several outlets including Spotlight Magazine, highlighting just how her career is continuing to go from strength to strength. With tour and performance plans on hold due to the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic, she’ll also release her own short film in the near future titled I Am Everything, made up of five music videos from her EP of the same name.
