EXCLUSIVE: TIBASKO ‘Still Rushing’ feat. Julia Church Track Premiere

Today we are premiering ‘Still Rushing‘ by Hertfordshire-based electronic duo TIBASKO ft Julia Church. The duo are Ken from the Philippines and Andy from England.

Still Rushing‘ begins as beguiling electro, garnished with Church’s wide-eyed vocals, before blurring into a myriad of drum and bass beats, inventive bleeps and Jungle throwbacks; it encapsulates the heady shifts and rush of the dancefloor. They say: “The name ‘Still Rushing’ comes from the euphoric feeling we get on the dance floor from hearing a huge record that evokes many emotions. Setting limitations in our production is what is really inspiring us at the moment as this track shifts bpm’s throughout. We love to challenge ourselves as producers and ‘Still Rushing’ is testament to this. As fans of Jungle and D&B music, we wanted to push the boundaries by creating a track that shifts the bpm vastly, going from 128bpm to 160bpm. The gorgeous vocals comes from our good friend and fellow artist, Julia Church – a lot of the vocals we’ve used in our previous tracks has actually come from her. She’s an incredibly talented artist, so we’re stoked to have her on this.”

Confirmed for Snowbombing Festival (Austria), Hideout Festival (Croatia), Boardmasters (UK), Nass Festival (UK), Cultivate Festival (UK), Verve Festival (Switzerland), El Dorado Festival (UK), Fields Of Fantasy (UK) and Queens Yard Summer Party (UK), TIBASKO are on course for an exciting UK/EU festival season. They have also confirmed their debut USA tour for September this year.

Focusing on their forthcoming EP until summer takes over, TIBASKO’s eclectic bricolage of styles promises further intriguing shifts in tone as they aspire to reach a deeper emotional connection with their audience.
