Emerging Scottish DJ and producer ARKLEY today premieres the video for ‘Back 2 Love (House ’89)‘, the lead track from his EP Origins which is out now via Our Space Records. The track itself is a throwback to M25 orbital raves and warehouse parties of 1989’s second ‘Summer of Love‘ with its analogue synth stabs and chopped-up house diva samples. It’s only fitting that the video encapsulates the visuals of the era. The mass of bodies on the dancefloor and the mind-bending imagery are perfect for this track and its irrepressible rhythm. And for those of a certain vintage, the KLF references bring a huge smile, as does the exuberant music itself.
Arkley expands on the video for ‘Back 2 Love (House ’89)‘:
“I love all those early 90s rave VHS visuals, which are like 60s psychedelia being animated in Windows v1.0! It’s so raw and imaginative. Mush Pongo (the video producer / director) did an incredible job putting a modern twist on this style. He also knows I’m a massive KLF fan and I love all the KLF references he threw in there.”
Arkley’s EP Origins is out now on Our Space Records.
