NEWS: Arliston release their charismatic single, ‘Hold My Wine’

London-based duo Arliston have released their new bittersweet yet hard hitting single ‘Hold My Wine‘, taken from their forthcoming EP Even in the Shade. With a bold and charismatic style, ‘Hold My Wine‘ draws upon 80’s synths and powerful drums. The combination of uplifting chords and melodies paired with sombre lyrics is employed masterfully by the duo.

Though the track holds a luscious up-beat feel alongside major chords, the remainder of the track is a contrast, as frontman Jack explains “‘Hold My Wine’ is about that occasional moment of recognition when you look up from the narrow corridor of your own thoughts and are seized by the idea that everyone else has progressed and developed while you are stuck in an unchanged rut. The protagonist attempts to do something about it in the chorus – but inevitably, he gets it wrong”.

‘Hold My Wine‘ is available now on all streaming platforms.
