NEWS: dust release new single ‘Trust U See’ and announce arena tour support of Interpol

Australian post-punk outfit dust have released their first new music of 2024, new single ‘Trust U See’ . The release comes ahead of an arena tour in support of Interpol in the autumn.  ‘Trust U See‘ is an expansive track which ebbs and flows. The glorious calm morphs into driving punk, the listener all the while not knowing where the track will head next. The saxophone is ever-present but it doesn’t dominate, rather it complements all the elements of ‘Trust U See’. It’s a track which twists this way and that, story-telling along the way within its sonic landscape. The band explain that single ‘Trust U See‘ is, in their own words, an:
“alarming and visceral sonic exploration of both literal and underlying feelings. Justin’s literal lyrical recount of searching for pain relief and feeling frustrated is paralleled with metaphorical messages of trust, relationships and frustration. TRUST U SEE became a staple opening song in the live set, forming it organically into the final version of the song before taking it to the studio. We were able to have a new outlook on recording and experimentation. It was our first time recording properly in a studio and we were able to be very hands on and take time in post production to get the song to express what we wanted.”
