The Boss is back! He may well be 73 years of age now, but Bruce Springsteen is once more in the UK on tour with his trusty E-Street Band and once more is delivering marathon three hour, high-octane sets. Tonight he plays a whopping 28 songs. The heavens had opened over the Stadium of Light and whether by accident or design, Springsteen opens his set with ‘Waitin’ On A Sunny Day’, playing it live for the first time in 7 years. Many, many highlights were to follow including ‘Atlantic City’, ‘The River’, an acoustic reading of ‘Last Man Standing’ with Barry Danellian on trumpet, and a six song encore culminating in a solo acoustic version of ‘I’ll See You In My Dreams’.
Daniel Robson from GIITTV was there in the photo pit to capture all the early action.
