PREVIEW: Sonisphere Festival

B4Master MET COVER retouch

With Sonissphere’s line up now complete, every metal heads’ dream festival is only 2 short months away. This year the biggest draw is clearly ‘The Big 4’ : Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth performing together for the first time in the UK on the same stage, with Scottish heroes Biffly Clyro closing proceedings on the Saturday night. Sunday night is headlined by the mighty Slipknot, with performances from leading lights such as The Sisters of Mercy (their first UK festival performance in 20 years), Killing Joke, Limp Bizkit, The Mars Volta,Mastodon, Motorhead, In Flames, Airbourne, Architects and many more across the weekend.

There’s also an equally strong comedy line up with Bill Bailey headlining on the Sunday night, marking the biggest ever outdoor comedy performance at a rock festival in this country. He is supported by an incredible cast of comedians in Bohemia, including JACKASS superstar Steve-O’s UK debut, plus performances from Andrew O’Neill, Bob Slayer, John Whitehead, Jason Rouse, Jim Breuer all hosted by the hilarious JARRED CHRISTMAS.

On top of all the live musical and comedic performances, there are also a host of other attractions including white knuckle fairground rides, dodgems, shisha cafésand all manner of stalls, all set on the beautiful lush green lawns of Knebworth. This all makes Sonisphere one of the most enjoyable festival experiences you are ever likely to encounter.
