Frontman of the recently reformed Pulp, Jarvis Cocker will publish a collection of his lyrics, entitled ‘Mother, Brother, Lover: Selected Lyrics’, via Faber in October, it has been announced. The title apparently comes from the “embarrassing” number of times the three words are made to rhyme with each other in Cocker’s songs.
In a video interview with Faber Publishing Director Lee Brackstone, Cocker discusses being “forced” into writing lyrics, the development of his writing, and the very first lyrics he ever wrote.
