Post War Years announce new single – ‘All Eyes’

‘All Eyes’ is the thundering reintroduction to outstanding four-piece Post War Years, due out 5th December on fledgling independent Labour of Love.

Post War Years (Simon, Henry, Tom and Fred) first came together in Leamington Spa in 2008 and came to prevalence at the height of math-rock in 2009. They quickly drew the attention of the likes of Rough Trade, who hailed their left-field 2009 offering The Greats and the Happenings  as “one of the most interesting and innovative debuts to be released this year.” Since their debut, the band left their basement studio and began work with producer and award winning remixer James Rutledge (MGMT, Grizzly Bear, Late of The Pier, My Bloody Valentine, The Kills) on their second album due for release in 2012.

‘All Eyes’, mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Bloc Party, Rage Against the Machine, Interpol), is a full-on sound collage of the cerebral and the avant-garde. Abrasive Battles-like beats, inexorable Vek-like synths and delightfully fucked up vocals march Post War Years into new and exciting musical territory. The video for ‘All Eyes’ has been created by animation whiz kid, Tobias Stretch (www.tobystretch.com).

After destroying every show put in front of them and playing coveted support slots for the likes of Mercury nominees Everything Everything, Post War Years will be headlining a small December UK tour, including Bethnal Greens’s Working Men’s Club.
