James Blake is pleased to release the video that accompanies his beautiful rendition of Joni Mitchells ‘A Case of You’.
Shot in London last week, it was directed by film-maker Seb Edwards and features his first choice actress for the role Rebecca Hall (The Prestige / Vicky, Cristina Barcelona / Frost/Nixon). It turns out she’s both a fan of Joni Mitchell and particularly James’s version so jumped at the chance to be involved.
‘A Case Of You’ has received plays on Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, XFM and BBC London including support from Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Mary Anne Hobbs, Dermot Oleary, Jo Whiley, Lauren Laverne and Huey Morgan.
The track originally formed part of James’s first Maida Vale session for Radio 1and was more recently added to his ‘Enough Thunder’ EP, as well the deluxe edition of his debut album, ‘James Blake’. All of which are available now.
