It’s from the mighty fine label Sonic Cathedral – and the fabulous New Yorker Sarabeth Tucek singing a cover of Judy Garland’s classic ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, which she recorded earlier this year for BBC 6 Music.
The cover – which blends the song from ‘Meet Me In St Louis’ with a guitar backing which sounds like The Replacements’ classic ‘Skyway’ – was nailed in one take after Sarabeth’s Lauren Laverne session. Sarabeth’s album ‘Get Well Soon’ is thoroughly recommended!
