As part of Play Fest’s mission to showcase local and UK wide fresh new talent, the Norfolk festival (which takes place between Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd June) are set to launch a competition via social network sites Facebook and Twitter to offer the chance to perform a full 45 minute spot on Main Stage on Saturday 2nd June in front of a 4,000 strong festival crowd.

Launching today (Monday 12th March) via Facebook and Twitter, this 6 week campaign aims to showcase some of the raw and grass-root talent that is just waiting to be discovered within the social networking world! The competitions are open to all UK bands and solo artists and will close at noon on Saturday 16th April, after which the directors of Play Fest will then be joined by industry professionals to judge the 10 shortlisted entries. The finalists will be notified via Twitter and Facebook shortly after.
