Have you ever been guilty of saying “they used to be good”, without really listening? The Smashing Pumpkins must receive loads of that! For me, they’ve always been consistently good. Possibly on their third generation now, album number nine ‘Oceania’ is out now.. Whilst they will never equal ‘Melon Collie…’ it is a fine album. If you’re a culprit of the aforementioned phrase then listen without prejudice, if you’ve never liked them then, as much as I respect that, you’re a cretin!
