Let’s be honest the weather has been dreadful so far this summer, IOW festival was a wash out of biblical proportions (apparently) and I got stuck in the eye of what appeared to be a typhoon at a beer festival this weekend. What better way than to cheer ourselves up and remind ourselves that it’s still only June and things can brighten up considerably than delightful Swedish girl/boy duo Alpaca Sports who are back with single number two, ‘She’ll come back for Indian summer’ a delicious slice of swoonsome bittersweet Shins-esque jangle pop coaxed along by coo-ing backings, and a skipping beat. It’s a heady mix reminscant of ‘Up and Away in Our Beautiful Baloon’, it reminds us of faded summer days yore and your heart skipping a beat when you see that one who left you but you can’t stop thinking about….It’s out now on Gothenburg label Luxury.
