Bristol four piece Tidal Wars have so far played a bundle of shows in their home turf of Weston as well as caused a stir in Bristolian venues similarly. They also effectively made a beef track on Blur’s Graham Coxon after they came runners up in the competition to support him in Bristol. Now it’s official that Howling Owl Records which plays host to the roster boasting The Naturals, Towns and Velcro Hooks to name a few will be releasing a double A-Side of ‘Veils’ and ‘Earnings’ which can both be heard via the band’s Facebook page. Their shoegazey post-punk is a messy sound but a strangely addictive one and ‘Earnings‘ is lyrically and sonically a song that it is hard to stop playing. The sliding guitar lines and spacey vocals make for a darker kind of pop. No doubt this release will come with some dates further afield so keep an eye out for this lot. Tidal Wars are about to spread.
