Bummer Album of the Week: The Datsuns – Death Rattle Boogie

Ten years ago, I latched onto The Datsuns and thought their debut album was somehow dated but fresh in approach, with bags of energy and some catchy tunes. Four Albums later, we have ‘Death Rattle Boogie’, a title that sounds like a mixture of Megadeth, The Rolling Stones & ZZ Top. Unfortunately, so does the music, which may be a tad unfair, as it’s probably closer to a second-hand Jet (is that any better?). Sorry to you Kiwis out there, but Bummer Album of the Week it is.
