Lope and Antilope, the fourth album from the Bristolian jazz-infused quartet Get The Blessing is released today through the Naim Label record company. Already the recipient of a 4* review on GITTV where it was described variously as being at a point “where Blue Note meets Blue Lines” and of “achieving the right balance between what once was and what now is”, Lope and Antilope is proof positive that there is a world in which the greater traditions of free jazz can co-exist with the more modern elements of trip-hop, pop and what might very loosely be described as rock.
