Reverend & The Makers are back. Brand new single ‘The Only One’ heralds next month’s release of their fourth studio album Thirty Two. Jointly produced by Youth, James Welsh and the band themselves, ‘The Only One’ follows firmly in the footsteps of last year’s @Reverend_Makers album, standing astride the central upbeat elements of dance and indie-rock.
Forged in Sheffield and not everyone’s cup of Yorkshire tea, Reverend & The Makers are a band who continue to divide opinion. But for all of that polarity nobody can argue against their sincerity, no-nonsense approach to their craft, deep passion and unbridled desire to get their music right out there. In Jon McClure they have a perfect talismanic voice, a self-proclaimed ranty dude who leads from the front and by example.
Reverend & The Makers continuing success is reflected by the recent announcement of their forthcoming UK tour prompting the biggest opening week for ticket sales in their history. The 18 date tour is now almost sold out.
