Its been a hectic time for Brighton three piece Esben and the Witch since parting ways from Matador they’ve set up a Pledge fund to raise money and record with Steve Albini they’ve also got a new split album with Thought Forms on the way for later this year. To top it off they’ve released the explosive six minute video for ‘No Dog’ the first two minutes of which are quite literally skull crushing with pile driving drums, elastic basselines and caustic guitars that are the aural equivalent of a giant tanker starting its engine, before collapsing into a subtle craftily pulsing second part is pierced by the haunted tone of singer Rachel Davies.Clap your eyes and ears on it here!

Invada Records release a split LP between Brighton’s Esben and the Witch and elemental Bristol fuzz-peddlers Thought Forms, on April 7th. It comes off the back of critically lauded outings from both acts last year – the former with Wash the Sins Not Only the Face and the latter with Ghost Mountain.
