Scots rockers We Came From Wolves new EP is out now, a collection of honed rock songs thudding with a melodic heart. They have just revealed a video for the EP’s title Track ‘Paradise Place’.They’ve kindly sent us a wee message about both the songs that make up and the inspiration behind the video:

“Our EP, Paradise Place, is a collection of songs about our home town. Paradise Place was the first song that we wrote together as a band and writing it really cemented the new line up of the band. The EP is about looking back at worse times and learning from them and moving on without forgetting about them. It’s about taking the past and putting it where it should be – in the past. The four tracks on the EP are all quite different but work well together. “A Bastard son, A Brother to none” is a straight up honest pop song,. “Stallions, Foals, Foxes, Crows’ is a fast and gutsy rock song that’ll give you muscles. ‘Away to Live Forever’ is a melodic, reverb laced epic.

We shot the video for the title track in the very places the song is inspired by and were blessed by the greyest and rainiest day of the year, it really helped set the scene. The filming was inspired by the work of Shane Meadows and the bleakness that his work depicts was the aesthetic goal and feeling for the project and our videographer Tom Mitchell. We wanted everything about it to be as honest as possible and mixed that with an ironic undertone which is very much to our taste. The result is a video which really reflects the vibe of the song helped by a host of locals and a couple of very talented young actors.”
