Preaching From The Pews: White Miles

Preaching From The Pews: White Miles

Using the guitar-and-drums-two-piece-immersed-in-the-primitive-values-of-garage-blues-rock template that was engineered by The White Stripes, the White Miles head further on down that gravel road already well-travelled by the likes of The Pack a.d., Blood Red Shoes, Deap Vally and Royal Blood.

White Miles go for the girl-boy variant of this particular duo model courtesy of Medina Rekic on guitar/vocals and Hansjörg Loferer (Lofi) on drums/vocals. And believe you me they ain’t hanging around, getting straight down to business with ‘Can’t Stop’. This raw blast of dirty rock ‘n’ roll is a perfect combination of vocal yowl and primordial thrash. A harbinger for their début album “job: genius, diagnose: madness”, it re-imagines Joan Jett fronting early Led Zeppelin.
