Atari Teenage Riot brought the Digital Hardcore to the 2014 Camden Crawl, and then some.

Like Slayer with computers instead of guitars, like the Prodigy with politics instead of odd haircuts, ATR are still moving forward decades after their formation. All 3 current members, Alec Empire (founder), Nic Endo, and latest recruit Rowdy Superstar from the UK, take it in turns unleashing vocal fury on the audience. When not delivering hyper charged rallying battle cries, they’re DJing and vice versa. The energy never really stops.

Their latest album ‘Is this Hyper Real?’ has been called the ‘ultimate protest album for the google age’. Dealing with State surveillance, WikiLeaks, hackers and various protest movements. Politics has always been the reason for ATR’s existence, but handily the supercharged breakbeats and heavy metal breakdowns stop it from being too much of a lecture.
