PREVIEW: Download Festival 2015

PREVIEW: Download Festival 2015

For those old enough to remember the Monsters of Rock festival in the Eighties, Donington Park will always be the home of the UK’s biggest and best Metal Festival. It’s spiritual heir Download now it it’s twelfth year is continuing to go from strength to strength. In a market saturated with festivals, Download has managed to carve out it’s niche for the faithful. Always a truly egalitarian crowd, from kids awaiting their first pimple to 40 something geezers old enough to know better, if you love ZE ROCK, Download awaits you with open arms. This year sees a stellar line up of Slipknot, Muse and Kiss who will no doubt be in competition on who can bombastly out theatricalise the other, if such a phrase makes any sense.

Faith No More return, and should be bringing a new album with them. Old favourites Motley Crue (aren’t they on their extended final tour by now?) and Judas Priest round out the headliners. Marilyn Manson will also be playing his new album, and there is a melting pot of other treats from Andrew W.K. to Bodycount to Slash and Billy Idol to satisfy every flavour of all that is hard and rocking.

Not to mention, late bars, a funfair,  and much more.

To quote the last great Dimebag Darrell “Get’cher Pull”!
