Greek/German duo Eleni Zafiriadou and Daniel Benjamin, AKA SEΛ + ΛIR recently released their second album ‘Evropi’ . Today we have the exclusive Annagemina remix of their track ‘Peace Begins at Home’ a pulsing ghost pop symphony; it’s released alongside their new single Should I Care?, listen to it here:
Evropi was recorded with Tim Bruzon of Wave Machines in Liverpool, it is an album which has at its core stories of travel and change. As Eleni explains, “my family were used to this since my grandmother was expelled from Anatolia in 1922. Being refugees, migrant workers, or musicians. Homelessness is a part of us and one reason why I can’t stay at the same place for a long time”.
Performing live as a duo, but more than achieving their stated ambition of making the sound of a seven-piece, SEΛ + ΛIR are celebrating the release of Evropi with a forthcoming UK tour, which includes dates supporting maverick Irish electronic pop hero Duke Special.
