Track Of The Day #733: Matt Rock – Just Like Me – Exclusive

We have the video premier of Matt Rock‘s new DIY video ‘Just Like Me’ a witty, tongue in cheek revaluation of life: it see’s Matt taking on characters from different walks of life all united in their use of music to try and escape the despair of modern life. His debut album ‘Get Blank!’ is released today and was produced in his South London home during three years of living as a virtual recluse..

Some words from Matt Rock about the video: “The video was created with the idea to make light of quite a depressing realisation that on the whole, we’re all the same. So I decided to create an array of characters from different walks of life, who ultimately, all end up rocking out on their guitars to combat their sadness and fears. I just wanted to make something that was entertaining, rather than the usual video of an artist performing and trying to look uber cool. I’m not afraid to show myself in the worst possible light – and I think I achieved it here! It was once again filmed at home by myself due to zero budget – but its amazing the ideas you can come up with when you have no money…”
