12303989_10153759515664494_4950645713543486003_oOxford-based alt-folk/indie act The Epstein are offering a free download of the track ‘Finally Forgive’ for the entire month of December as a taster of their forthcoming new Burn The Branches album, coming in Spring 2016. ‘Finally Forgive’s Texan shuffle possesses elements of the communal, widescreen Americana of Fleet Foxes and the driving intent of Wilco. The forthcoming Burn The Branches album sees the band depart from the widescreen country/Americana sound of previous album Murmurations, and explore harder edged, atmospheric sounds whilst still retaining singer/songwriter Olly Wills’ knack for melodic hooks.

The album was produced by Richard Neuberg (ViaRosa) at Strawhouse Studios in Oxford, and mixed by George Shilling (Stornoway/Frank Turner). Having toured heavily in Europe, particularly in Holland and Germany, The Epstein have built a fan base on both sides of the Channel.

The Epstein are launching the single at an intimate show at new Oxford venue The Handle Bar on St Michael’s Street on Wednesday 2nd Dec. The gig also features Robert Chaney and The Great Western Tears. The Epstein are an integral part of the ever burgeoning Oxford roots/Americana scene, alongside numerous luminaries such as The Great Western Tears, Francis Pugh & The Whisky Singers, The August List, The Dreaming Spires and The Knights of Mentis to name but a few!
