This September Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia will once more return to the Baltic Triangle area of the city. For two full days and nights, the UK’s largest celebration of psychedelic culture will again occupy the vast warehouse spaces of Camp and Furnace, Blade Factory and District in what promises to be yet another spectacular, mind-expanding experience.
This year’s headliners are the Welsh cosmic rockers Super Furry Animals and those grand purveyors of psych pop The Horrors. The dark ambient duo Demdike Stare, Swedish psych band Dungen, psychedelic freakout outfit Acid Mothers Temple from Japan and New York City’s venerable electro-rock pioneers Silver Apples head up a truly international, and most wonderfully diverse list of supporting acts.
Maintaining the festival’s trans-global reach will be the Tokyo record label Guruguru Brain who will be curating some of the finest underground music to come out of Asia.
