NEWS: Richard Ashcroft is going to Scarborough Fair

Location: Redcliffe Farm, Cayton Bay, North Yorkshire

Along with the previously announced headline acts Everything Everything and Lianne La Havas, Richard Ashcroft will be heading to the Yorkshire coast come this year’s Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The former lead singer with The Verve will be topping the bill on Saturday night at the inaugural Scarborough Fair festival, to be held at Redcliffe Farm, Lebberston, near Scarborough. His appearance will come the week after the release of his eagerly awaited fourth solo album, These People.

The event’s three headliners will be joined at this brand new boutique art and music festival by many other diverse artists including Public Service Broadcasting, Submotion Orchestra, Field Music, the Yorkshire jazz singer Clare Teal, local folk legends Martin and Eliza Carthy, funk and soul DJ Craig Charles, I Am Kloot and the English singer-songwriter and political progressive Billy Bragg.

In addition to the vast array of musical talent that will be featured at Scarborough Fair there will be various other stages at the festival hosting a wide range of entertainment including comedy, film space and talks, as well as an on-site art gallery.
