NEWS: Pop Morrison Announces Interactive EPs

If You Want To Make A Song Holla is the newest musical project from Noisettes and Stereophonics drummer Jamie Morrison. Morrison will release six EPs on the 8th of April under the moniker Pop Morrison, with the aim of starting a dialogue between fellow artists, fans, and other like-minded creative types. The EPS will be available for purchase through iTunes and popmorrison.com, and participants are free to remix, redo and sample the tracks however they see fit. The only requirement is that users tweet Jamie at @PopMorrison using the phrase “I want to make a song #HOLLA” and tag him in any social media posts when promoting the track they’ve created.

This is a unique project, with the closest comparison being Radiohead‘s TKOL1234567. However, while the Radiohead project was only open to established producers, the Pop Morrison EPs are available for anyone to use regardless of experience. The EPs vary in sound and colour, so there is room for interpretation.

If You Want To Make A Song Holla will be available to download from Friday 8th of April from iTunes and popmorrison.com.
