Track Of The Day #835: Oh Pep! - Doctor Doctor

Track Of The Day #835: Oh Pep! – Doctor Doctor

“I know what I want and it’s not what I need,” Pepita Emmerich emotes soulfully over bounding basselines, strident beats that’s sewn with violin caroled by Olivia Hally’s guitar lines and framed by grand production.  Emmerich’s infectious vocals pirouetting upon each bittersweet couplets explode with joy and bristle with the pain of love that’s turning into pain in front of her eyes.  ‘Doctor Doctor’ is a fine introduction a voluptuous evanescent pop ear worm that is set to burrow its way into your brain.  ‘Doctor Doctor’ is the first single from Austrialian duo’s debut album ‘Stadium Cake’ which is out now.

Olivia Hally and Pepita Emmerichs formed Oh Pep! while at music secondary school in Melbourne, Australia. With three EPs under their belt since 2012, Oh Pep!’s debut LP Stadium Cake is a coming of age for the duo. Recorded at Echo Lake, Nova Scotia in February and August of 2015 with Canadian producer, Daniel Ledwell, Stadium Cake is set for release later this year.”
