Track Of The Day #838: United Fruit – Where The Sun Beats Down

In a similar vein to Gin Blossoms, Glasgow quartet United Fruit‘s upcoming single ‘Where The Sun Beats Down’ shimmers into focus.  It has a faint glow of ’90s indie rock about it and yet it still sounds fresh and current.  Its steady and driving beat, vocals that soar and with a power that knocks you off your feet, and brilliant melodies will awaken the beast within that dances the night away with a grin on your face throughout.

United Fruit are, as this shows in stunning fashion, one of Glasgow’s treasures.  ‘Where The Sun Beats Down’ is a glorious track.  If this isn’t one of the Songs of Summer ’16, I’ll be really annoyed.

‘Where The Sun Beats Down’ is taken from their new album Eternal Return and is released 6th May.  Eternal Return is set for release the following week (13th May).
