Australians The Avalanches are set to officially release their first album in 16 years, Wildflower, this Friday (8th July). However, the follow up to their much-loved debut Since I Left You is now streaming, a week ahead of its intended release date.
The band have already shared numerous singles from the album. ‘Colours’ featured Mercury Rev’s Jonathan Donahue, while ‘Frankie Sinatra,’ had contributions from rappers MF DOOM and Danny Brown. Meanwhile, ‘Subways’ was a sun-kissed number that sampled Chandra and Graham Bonnet. Wildflower also features a whole host of guest artists and vocalists from across the musical spectrum, including Americana singer Father John Misty, producer and singer Toro Y Moi, Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux, hip hop artist Biz Markie, and Warren Ellis. Stream the whole of Wildflower below via Apple Music.
