NEWS: Remastered version of ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ comes to cinemas this September

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Nicolas Roeg’s iconic film, The Man Who Fell to Earth has undergone a 4K remastering process ready to be screened in cinemas in the UK from 9th September.  The science fiction drama stars the late David Bowie in one of his most memorable roles.

Based on Walter Tevis’ 1963 novel of the same name, the film follow’s Bowie’s extra-terrestrial character Thomas Jerome Newton as he adapts to life on Earth.  He becomes a wealthy technology magnate and grapples with some of life’s biggest questions.  The movie became a cult classic not just for Bowie’s masterful performance but also for its surreal imagery.  This new version was remastered by Deluxe London and is based on a 4K scan of the original camera negative, with the approval of cinematographer Anthony Richmond and with the blessing of Roeg.

The film will also be re-released on DVD and Blu-ray on 10th October.  These versions are set to feature more additional bonus content and special packaging.
