Norwegian singer and art-pop composer Jenny Hval is releasing her new record Blood Bitch via Sacred Bones Records on 30th September, which, according to the artist, is “an investigation of blood.” Last month she shared ‘Female Vampire’ from the collection, with a DIY video to accompany it, and that’s been followed up with a new track, ‘Conceptual Romance.’
The track might be one of Hval’s most accessible works to date. Peppered with light piano and Hval’s sweet singing voice, the most experimental aspects of the song come in her lo-fi interjections and a burst of noise towards the climax. Listen below.
The composer is also heading out on a short tour of the UK in October, after appearing at End of the Road festival. Details below.
