NEWS: Mogwai, Future of the Left and more contribute to new Wrongpop charity album

DIY promoters Wrongpop released a limited edition charity album yesterday in support of testicular cancer charity Checkemlads.  It came about after Wrongpop founder Stephen Clarke was diagnosed with the potentially life-threatening disease in May 2014, before getting the all clear in July last year.  Wanting to give something back, the album is designed to raise awareness and raise money at the same time.

The LP features 26 exclusive tracks, which includes contributions from Scottish alt-rock icons Mogwai, Afro-blues crew Songhoy Blues, Cardiff alt rockers Future of the Left, psych-rock outfit Teeth of the Sea and expansive rockers Hey Colossus.  It’s a unique compilation where live material sits alongside rare demos, acoustic versions and never-before-heard tracks.

The album will be available for £5 for one month only via Bandcamp, with all the profits made going directly to the Checkemlads charity.  To download the album, visit Wrongpop’s Bandcamp page.
