This year one of Sweden’s biggest festivals, Way Out West, celebrates its tenth anniversary, and what a line-up it is to mark the occasion. As diverse and eclectic as ever, it features some of the biggest names in music, welcoming artists from the worlds of rock, pop, urban and electro into its idyllic parkland setting in south-west Gothenburg.
Amongst a plethora of other impressive names, Way Out West 2016 will be playing host to Morrissey, Massive Attack, Grace Jones, PJ Harvey and The Kills. After the main event, each night will continue with the more intimate Stay Out West after parties, offering special sets from the likes of Alunageorge, Dua Lipa, Algiers and Sleaford Mods.
However, Way Out West isn’t just about music. Film screenings, art exhibitions and lectures are all part of its agenda, with Henry Rollins‘ appearance set to be a highlight of the Way Out West talks.
